AIMday Materials is arranged to bring together academic researchers and industry representatives in the field of materials science.
We hope that this year’s AIMday Materials will attract both new and former participants and be just as successful in bringing understanding and new perspectives to industrial problems.
Materials research is a highly profiled, strategic research area at Uppsala University. The materials science research activities include work in the disciplines of engineering sciences, physics and chemistry, and the research involves materials synthesis, surface modification, materials analysis and modelling, as well as testing and measuring functional properties, magnetical, optical, mechanical and tribological parameters.
- No later than September 15th companies send a question, or several, about a challenge related to material science.
- Then it is time for Uppsala University researchers in materials science to register for the various questions.
- On October 24, you will come to Ångström and discuss your questions with the researchers, one hour per question.
- If there is common interest to work on a question, there will be the possibility to apply for funding for a preliminary study.
In addition to companies that are often attending AIMday Materials (Sandvik Materials Technology, Sandvik Coromant, ABB Corporate Research, Vattenfall and Uddeholms) we will invite several other companies to participate.
Register your question via http://aimday.se/materials-2019/registrations-for-org/ no later than September 15th.
